The Red Sox disappointing season seems to be continuing! The teams luck doesn't seem to be turning around. This was the case again Saturday night
after letting up four runs in the ninth inning against the Minnesota
Twins.

Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz has pitched very well as of late, but is
not receiving support from the offensive side of the ball “this offense is too
good to score those few runs” said Nick Punto.
Things keep going good for the Sox and then seem to turn in the opposite
direction, going on streaks then instead of losing just one or two they go on a
losing streak. Things seemed to turn
from good to horrible in the 9th, with two men on and a 2-2 count
pitcher Aceves thought he notched strike three on a low outside fastball, but
was called a ball. The next pitch was a
misplaced fastball that Joe Mauer crushed, and never seemed to land, which gave
the Twins the lead and eventually the win.
David Ortiz looked on from the dugout, still sidelined with a strain to
his right Achilles. The Sox need his bat
in the line-up, going 7-11 without him.
He was eligible to be activated on Aug. 1, but his return has been slower
than expected.
There are only 54 games remaining in the season, and despite
the current situation, the players and management remain confident that they
can turn this season around and make a serious push in the final two
months.
